Objective

♦ The DS can provide financial aid for activities or projects related to your professional training. This includes mobility support to enable you to attend events such as summer schools, trade fairs, or travel to a laboratory for networking purposes or with a view to a post-doc for instance, as well as supports for specialized training offered in places out of Normandy or even paid distance trainings (e.g. via video conferencing).

♦ In all cases, these grants are intended to help you find a position in the future. In practice, many requests are for attendance at congresses or conferences. Even though these scientific meetings are clearly part of a researcher’s work, the DS limits its support to one event of this nature per doctoral student, in order to avoid the entire budget being allocated exclusively to this type of aid.
