Objective
♦ The ED can provide financial aid for activities or projects related to your professional training. This includes mobility support to enable you to attend events such as summer schools, trade fairs, or travel to a laboratory for networking purposes with a view to a post-doc, as well as support for non-university training offered locally or even paid distance training (e.g. via video conferencing).
♦ In all cases, these grants are intended to help you secure a job in the future. In practice, many requests are for attendance at congresses or conferences. Since these scientific meetings are part of a researcher’s professional development, but to avoid the entire budget being allocated exclusively to this type of aid, the DS limits its support to one event of this nature per doctoral student.
