Council

The Board is the DS’s main decision-making body. It is composed of 21 members, as follows:

9 laboratory representatives:
- 4 from the ‘Energetics, Engineering Sciences’ sector
- 3 from the ‘Physics, Nuclear Physics, and Materials’ sector
- 2 from the ‘Chemistry, Solid State Chemistry, Earth Sciences’ sector
2 representatives from the ‘Engineers, Administrators, and Technicians’ sector
1 representative from COMUE Normandie Université
5 representatives from outside the DS:
- 3 from the academic world
- 2 from industry
4 doctoral student representatives:
- 1 from each of the three sites
- 1 additional representative for Rouen (even years) or Caen (odd years)

The following individuals are also invited to attend these meetings

Directors of the DS’s research units who do not sit on the Board
A representative of the Normandy region
A representative of the CNRS regional directorate
Vice-presidents in charge of research from each of the enrolling institutions
The Research, Development, and Doctoral Studies Departments of each of the enrolling institutions
Managers of each site
