Composition of the examination Board

The thesis jury is appointed by the head of the registration  Institution after consultation with the DS site director. It must meet the following conditions:

• It has between four and eight members.
• It must show a balanced representation of women and men. For PSIME, at least one member of each gender is required. If this criterion cannot be met, proof of three refusals to participate must be provided.
• At least half of the members must be from outside the ComUE Normandie Université. Staff from the same laboratory as a  co-director located outside the region are excluded from this category.
• At least half of the members must be professors or equivalent staff (e.g. CNRS our CEA research directors), or foreign researchers of equivalent rank (A). To determine this last point for individuals outside the French university system, a CV must be provided. For individuals working in foreign universities, equivalences (Equivalence Table) can serve as a reference. However, the DS reserves the right to consider any application as a Rank A on the basis of the CV.
