Welcome meetings
Each year, in the autumn, the DS organises welcome meetings at each of its sites, to which all newly enrolled students are invited. The aim of these meetings is to present the local environment, explain how the DS operates, introduce the key players, go through all the stages of a thesis, clarify certain regulatory aspects, and finally present the DS’s activities. Since many doctoral students do not speak French, these meetings are held in English and led by the site director.
