Derogatory registration

The duration of a doctoral contract is 36 months.
The requests for a derogatory registration will be examined at the fall Council meeting, based on a dossier justifying the reasons for this extension, demonstrating that the thesis is well advanced, and providing a firm commitment to a defense date, with funding secured for the period outside the contract.

Note that the agreement for a derogatory year is not automatically granted.

Except for very special reasons, no second derogatory year will be possible.
