Doctoral students’ Day
The Doctoral Students’ Day (JDD in french) takes place in spring. It is primarily aimed at 2nd-year doctoral students, while being open to all doctoral students at the host site. The event is mainly based on a series of presentations given by PSIME doctoral students on their work. These presentations are divided into different sessions and can be presented in front of a jury made up of researchers, industry professionals, and institutional representatives. A poster session is generally held simultaneously. This day can be combined with an event organised by a research organisation close to our topics (e.g. Normandie AeroEspace or Mov’eo). Various prizes may be awarded.
JDD 25
The meeting was held in the main ENSICAEN lecture hall, in partnership between the MIIS and PSIME EDs. The organizing team was made of A. BOITEAU, H. CHEMIN, R. LEMAIRE (MIIS), A. ROUVILLER, and I. BOUCHARD DE LA POTERIE (PSIME).
It was instructed to make the content of each presentation accessible to the entire audience (mathematicians, physicists, chemists, computer scientists, etc.). This was not an easy task, and it served as a valuable exercise in scientific outreach!
JDD 24
The meeting was organised at the INSA Rouen campus by a dynamic team that demonstrated great autonomy.
The event brought together around sixty doctoral students from all the sites and laboratories.
Prizes were awarded by a panel of judges and the audience, in several categories.
